Nathaniel was startled when he heard Tyler's voice. The sternness of it was frightening. He raised up and looked at the bloody heap of Matthias and realized that Tyler was in Doctor mode. Helping Tyler move Matthias into the kitchen, he held his new responsibility to comfort him while Tyler tended to his wounds, then helped him get Matthias into Ty's bed.

Next was Nathaniel. Tyler sterilized the claw wounds on Nathaniel's chest and checked out all the damage, then led him into the bedroom and tucked him in next to Matthias. Nathaniel wrapped himself around Matthias in a posture of protection then looked up at Tyler. He thought he detected a hint of amusement on Tyler's face but let it go. Then a thought hit him. The food. "Tyler, the food. I forgot about it."
